Little Havana has historically been a base of operations for right-wing paramilitary groups like Omega 7, Alpha 66, & CORU. In contrast, the neighborhood has today become home to a growing crop of friendly, mild-mannered democratic socialists.
Miami DSA painted the barrio red on 15 December 2017. Over food and libations we reflected on the year, met new faces, discussed politics & just about everything else during our “Socialize with Socialists” event.
