Today, Turning Point USA was tabling on campus. They displayed a poster which can be seen down below. Our chapter Chair decided to also post a flyer (the one that begins “17 High school”) next to theirs countering their belief which can also be seen below. A Turning Point USA member can be seen in the video posted below admitting to taking our flyer down. So much for being advocates of freedom of speech… YDSA FIU calls all students to exercise their 1st amendment rights and stand up for what they believe in. This right-wing group has publicly admitted in this video to silencing freedom of speech on our campus. The only way to defeat fascism is through honest discourse. We call on all students to reject the bigotry and hatred espoused by Turning Point.
