People’s History: March 21st & the Anti-Apartheid Struggle

The 21st of March marks both one of the most tragic and one of the most joyous events in the struggle against apartheid. On this day in 1960, police in South Africa massacred 69 people demonstrators in the township of Sharpeville. On this day in 1990, Namibia was liberated from apartheid. Read more here: bit.ly/2HTIN5F
